Tour of the Foreign Service Institute

So we finally got to see where Dad works!  The Foreign Service Institute in Arlington, VA, or FSI for short.  Bri was excited to show us where he spends his long days, and we were equally excited.  The security is tight, so after going through security, the tour began.  It's a beautiful campus with a lot of fun buildings.  Not technically a place for crazy kids like ours, that see a hill of grass and immediately run to it and start to roll down the hill.  The atmosphere is very quiet and professional, without the presence of children.  So we had to "shhhh!" them a lot and remind them not to slide down the railings or run down the halls.  Seriously, sometimes I wonder if there are a group of monkeys that raise my children while I'm sleeping!

Good friend Benjamin Franklin, the country's first diplomat, and a "phenomenal one at that," said Bri.

Briant's A-100 classroom.  Love the values posted around the ceiling.  This is the room where he learns all of his top-secret stuff that he can't share with me.  Basically, he'll have to kill me.  Wait a second, ARE you really Jason Borne honey?  :)

The wonderfully free shuttle that Briant takes from our apartment to work every day, and back.  We're down to one car now because that's all that the State Dept will ship abroad.  Depending on our post though, we might not even be able to take our car...may have to buy one there or survive without it.  Life keeps getting more interesting... :)
