Music Festival in Riga

Every 5 years, Latvia holds a music festival in Riga.  Because it's not very often, it's a big deal, and it's nearly impossible to get tickets to go to the big performances.  So luckily Bri took the kids into Riga to play (mom had some quiet sanity time sans children) and they got to see some performances around the city--after a nice, expensive lunch of pizza.  ;)

They loved hearing groups of singers all around this beautiful, quaint city.
With traditional Latvian music comes traditional Latvian dancing as well.  Beautiful, happy music.

Traditional folk dress is a large part of the music festival.  There are different colors and patterns assigned to each province.  So just by looking at the clothes someone is wearing you can tell where they're from.  Love it!
This little girl is too cute for words.
