Amy and Travis Tanner invited us over for Sunday dinner a few days after we got out of quarantine. It was wonderful food (including hamburger patties from Sam's Club!) and company with the Travis and Lindsay Sevy family along with Marisa and Adh Stevens and their two kids. It was a great opportunity to finally see church members in person (instead of zoom) and for the kids to meet other youth!
These kids were adorable--a set of
twins, a toddler, and a three 11-12 year olds.
Three sets of brothers and sisters and Lizzie.
Rhea and Vivian had a lot of fun together
Savannah and Lizzie had already spent a day together when Lizzie showed her around the malls and neighborhoods close by. They hit it off with enjoying similar things like ASL, reading, writing, same music groups, and Hamilton.
As we were getting ready to leave, we found out that Lizzie's parents are going to be teaching Lizzie for seminary, and Lizzie asked if Savannah could do it with her. Of course I agreed! Should be fun for them to start their days off together before they go their separate ways to school.
And Thomas started off socializing with Asher, helping him learn how to solve the Rubik's cube. We had all given talks in sacrament meeting that day, and in Thomas' talk, he mentioned Elder Mitchell in Angola that taught him. Asher took the opportunity to bring his cube to have Thomas teach him. He was a fast learner!

It was a fun night getting to know everyone! It was our first major social event in months because of Covid, and it felt especially good coming out of two weeks of isolated quarantine! We're excited when church meetings will be in person and we can mingle face to face more and hopefully have some fun activities!
