Dad turned 44 as he finished up Russian, and we celebrated with streamers and by getting him balloons, cake, Russian fairy tale books (Bri collects world fairy tales and mythology), a Japanese paper-cut landscape, a new "demotivators" calendar, and a new bottle of Eternity. The kids each made him a card and gave him hand-made gifts.

| The red painting is japanese cut-paper art. All of the red part is a single piece of red paper that has been cut away by hand to represent a rural scene. I have been looking at these for a long time, and just happened to run into one at a Goodwill that they were selling for just a few dollars! Happy birthday dad!  |
