One Saturday, we heard about the Pet Show Expo and thought we'd better go check it out. We thought it would be like the movie "Best in Show." ;) We ended up just seeing dogs being primped on the sidelines waiting their turn and then walking around and standing still for the judges. I was hoping we would see more action, like tricks, but apparently that was on a different day.

After the dogs, we moved into another area of the expo center for cats, rabbits, and ponies. The kids could not get enough of the cats. Needless to say, our fears came true, and the kids begged and begged the whole time that we buy some sort of four-legged creature. "Look how cute mom!" "I could sleep with it mom!" "I'll take care of it mom!"

Luckily there were blowup slides at the end of the cat area and were the exact distraction we needed for the kids to get their minds off of buying a pet. They played on those for a while before their exhaustion kicked in and they started fighting over the public slides as if they each owned them, and that was our clue that it was time to leave. ;)

Outside the expo center there were meat and fish vendors. We passed those up for the cool potato things.
