The dangers of multi-tasking

After work, Bri comes home and whether he likes it or not, he gets instantly sucked into the after school chaos of homework, hungry tummies, and reading with the kids.  He luckily is more than happy to help.  He always takes care of me first though, by stepping in and preparing dinner if I haven't done it yet.  Which is most of the time.  On this particular day of multi-tasking, he was helping me manage the kids and their homework, along with making dinner.  After we ate, I went back to reading individually with the kids (30 mins each is requested by the teachers), while Bri went back to helping Savvy with her math.  He continued to earn his hubby of the year award by loading the dirty dinner dishes in the dishwasher while helping her.  Apparently, he was distracted enough that he used the regular dish soap in the dishwasher when he turned it on, so this is what we found about a half-hour later.  Note the soapy water underneath.  That is how we were alerted to the problem.  The commotion brought the kids out of their beds.  I count my blessings that we didn't turn it on before WE went to bed!  That could have been bad.

After a good laugh, the kids, not surprisingly,
were willing to help get the soapy water out of the dishwasher.
