Our apartment in Angola!

We received word today that our apartment lease negotiations are finished and we officially have  a place to live when we arrive in Angola!  There's a small chance that we'll need to stay somewhere else temporarily when we get there while they put the finishing touches on it though, but they don't know for sure.  Anyway, here it is...
Security desk at the entrance of the building.

We're grateful we have closets because a lot of places there don't!
Thomas likes this view because of all the buildings being constructed around us.  :)
A lot of tile!  The embassy has promised at least one large rug.
Looks like we have a bidet!  Should be interesting.  I'll let Briant use it first.

I'm surprised at the quality of the appliances.  Nice.  And even double ovens--something I didn't even have in the states!  There doesn't appear to be a dishwasher but they said we have one.  Maybe it's made to look like the cabinets?  We shall see.  :)  I'm just glad the cockroaches have hidden themselves for the pictures.  Or maybe we'll be lucky and have less of them with the new construction and the fact that we're up so high off the ground.  Should help with the quantity of mosquitoes too.  I shipped all the necessary bug spray & repellent, so I'm prepared to battle them if necessary, but here's to hoping.  :)
