A date with chalk

Yesterday Bri and I went on a date to the Mezaparks for the International 3D Chalk Art Festival called "Illusions of Riga." The art was spectacular, and we had fun interacting with it and exploring the enormous park.
A Cirque du Soleil-like group performing at the chalk festival.
Some artists of the chalk art:
We loved the ability to interact with the art and become a part of the 3D presentation.  After we got here, we knew we should have had the whole family come--the kids would have loved it too!
This is the artist of this one, who wanted a picture with her creation. She's from Mexico.
We took a nice walk around the Mezaparks after seeing the chalk art.  There is much beauty (and ticks) to be found in Latvian forests.  ;)We love our nature-appreciating yogi Latvians.Afterwards, we drove into Old Town and for the first time in two years, finally succumbed to our American cravings and ate at TGIF (including a brownie sundae). We must be ready to go home...next month!
We enjoyed walking around and seeing the city buzzing with activity as everyone is enjoying the beautiful summer weather.
