Dinner with Simona

Bri and I have enjoyed coming into the city at night for our dates.  The buildings and lights are beautiful and cozy, especially in the winter city dusted in white snow.  But here in the summer with the sky still light until midnight, it was still inviting.

We met Simona in Riga at a restaurant of her choice.  We wanted to take her out and thank her for being such a good friend to our family and colleague to work with.  We enjoyed our visit with her and our ongoing discussions of life, family, God, and the important things of life.  Coincidentally, while on these topics, she told us that she was pregnant!  She decided to do in vitro fertilization.  She is losing hope of ever finding a good Christian man to be her husband, and she has an overwhelming desire to be a mom.  But as she realized that she's not getting any younger, so she felt the need to act quickly.  Nobody knew and she was already like 5 months along!  We're so excited for her and her baby!  They are both going to be lucky to have each other and we know that Simone's mother and grandmother are watching over her!Update:  November 19, 2019 Eleanora was born!  A beautiful baby girl that looks so much like her beautiful mother!  Both are well and soooo happy.  :)
