Veteran's Day Date to D.C.

Briant and I decided to go into D.C. to see the National Portrait Gallery on Veteran's Day.  It was a beautiful day, perfect for going into the city.  We had fun with the random statues on the way to the museum.
And Bri did his physical therapy stretches for his elbow while waiting for me to go the bathroom. :)
We saw amazing art.  Too much to talk about, and really there's no need.  The art speaks for itself!
We couldn't believe the ability of the artist to "veil" this head so delicately! Giuseppe Croff
Rembrandt!
And the Verrocchio exhibit of David and Goliath.
Fragonard
Camille Pisarro
Renoir
Van Gogh
DegasAnd of course we had to grab lunch from a truck.
We wanted to walk around the monuments while we were there, especially being there on Veteran's Day to honor our veterans.
Korean War memorial
And lastly, the Lincoln Memorial

We loved seeing veterans around the memorial.  Our visit there seemed even more meaningful.
It was a wonderful day out with my hubby.  Just us and the beauty of art, history, and nature.
