Our first time felting!

On Saturday, we had a Relief Society activity and the young women were invited.  Amy had planned a felting class taught by Jana E., an origami class (which we didn't get to), and a Korean cooking class.  For the felting, we learned how to make a bumble bee.  Basic, yet challenging to get everything just right with the felt.  It was so fun though and Savannah in particular really enjoyed it.  And it was so fun to visit with all the ladies from church, especially ones that live in Shunyi and I don't see often, as we were making our bees.
Raima was graduating that day, so the young women helped to color a poster made to hang on her door. Here are some of Jana's projects that she's completed. This is how mine turned out.  A lot of room for improvement, but for my first time, it wasn't too bad. ;)After felting, we took a break and moved to the kitchen to watch some Korean cooking.  It ended up being delicious!
Savannah and Mayah helped me cut up fruit for the fruit salad that I brought. And as soon as we got home, Savannah started researching and watching videos of cute felting projects.  She's ready to keep on learning and is asking for some felting wool for her birthday coming up next month.  ;)
