Emily C. that I served with in Activity Days, announced on the ward listserv that she was going to sponsor a Peeps contest if anyone wanted to participate. Apparently her family does this with extended family every year. Well, my girls were excited about participating so I bought some peeps. Aldi only had yellow ducks, so that's what we used. This was near the beginning on quarantine, and the kids were given a few weeks to do it, so it gave the girls something to do when they were bored.
Savannah wanted to do a General Conference theme since the conference was going to be so different than the usual without a pandemic. But this year, the prophet announced that no one would be able to attend except the speakers. They even had pre-recordings of the choir they could show, so they tried to make the conference feel the same. It wasn't held at the Conference Center though. Savannah didn't know where it was going to be broadcast from, so she used the usual Conference Center as the backdrop and labeled it, "No Peeps at General Conference April 2020." :)
Savannah had a lot of fun adding the details to the "apostles" and "prophet" with eye glasses and ties.
She created pews from cardboard along with the podium with beehives carved into it.
And of course, you can't forget the flowers (pom poms)!
And the "cameramen" recording/broadcasting the sessions!

Rhea also had a lot of fun creating a camping scene with a tent, trees in the backdrop, sleeping bags, and the Peeps roasting marshmallows. "Camping with my peeps" was her theme.

A fun project for the girls and I loved watching their creative juices flow!
